Mark Crawford Writings

Privacy

This page explains what personal data the shop at shop.markcrawford079.com collects, why, and what your rights are. We collect as little as we can.

Who is responsible

eventNET, Guido Blanke, Hofenstrasse 20A, 9300 Wittenbach, Switzerland, info@markcrawford079.com. See the imprint for details.

What we collect

We do not get your card details. You enter them on Stripe’s payment page, and we only see whether the payment succeeded.

Your copy of the book

Each PDF is personalised when you first download it: a licence page with your email address, your order number and a copy ID, and a short line with the same details at the bottom of every page. This identifies the copy as yours and discourages sharing it.

Cookies

Looking around the shop sets no cookies. Only when you choose a currency, add a book to the cart, leave a tip or sign in does the shop set two cookies, cfid and cftoken. They hold your cart, your currency and your sign-in together while you use the shop. They contain no personal data, are not used for tracking, are sent over encrypted connections only and are deleted when you close your browser.

There are no analytics, no advertising, no social media plugins and no fonts or scripts loaded from other companies.

Who else receives data

We do not sell your data or pass it to anyone else, unless the law requires it. Mark Crawford does not receive any details of buyers or of people who leave a tip.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or get a copy. Write to info@markcrawford079.com. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

We process your data to fulfil your order (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to meet legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) and, for logs and abuse prevention, in our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). Showing your name is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Swiss law (FADP) applies in addition.
